The highest governing body of the Association “RNC of the WPC” is the General Meeting of Members of the Association.

The General Meeting has the competence to make decisions on all issues concerning the Association's activities. General Meetings are held as required, but at least once a year.

The general management of the Association is conducted by the Chairman, who is elected by a qualified majority of the General Meeting for a term of four years, with the right to be re-elected for three consecutive terms.

Chairman of the Association takes decisions on the General Meeting, prepare proposals for the agenda, chairs the meeting, organises and controls the execution of decisions of the General Meeting. The Chairman of the National Committee organises interaction with the heads of industry companies and Russian federal and regional authorities. The Chairman of the Association interacts with the WPC, the national committees of the WPC member countries, and leads the RNC of the WPC delegations to the World Petroleum Council meetings, congresses and other major WPC events.

Chairman of the Association has a deputy who is also elected by the General Meeting.

The sole executive body of the Association “RNC of the WPC” is the Director, who is elected by the General Meeting for four years and may be re-elected for three consecutive terms. The Director carries out operational activities, organises and supervises the work of the Permanent Secretariat.

Permanent Secretariat is a structural subdivision of the Association and performs the administrative, protocol and operational functions of the RNC of the WPC. Permanent Secretariat is managed by the Director of the Association.

By decision of the General Meeting, an Organising Committee may be set up on a temporary basis to organise the participation of the Russian delegation in the World Petroleum Congress and in other major events organised by the WPC and the RNC of the WPC.

Programme Committee of the Association “RNC of the WPC” provides scientific and analytical support to the RNC of the WPC activities aimed at promoting Russian interests in the formation of the programmes of the World Petroleum Congress and other WPC and RNC of the WPC events, and promotes broad and effective participation of oil, gas and other Russian fuel and energy sector specialists in such events.

Sections are formed to explore various aspects of the oil and gas industry in greater depth, inviting scientists and specialists who represent the most advanced part of Russian science to work there.

Programme Committee is headed by a Chairman elected by the General Meeting of the Association's members. Chairman of the Programme Committee of the Association “RNC of the WPC” is nominated by the General Meeting as the Official Representative of Russia in the Programme Committee of the World Petroleum Council.

Youth Committee of the Association “RNC of the WPC” was established in order to involve students and young professionals of Russia in the activities of the National Committee, as well as in the international activities of the World Petroleum Council. The Chairman and Deputy Chairmen of the RNC of the WPC Youth Committee are Official Russia's representatives in the World Petroleum Council's Young Professionals Committee.

As a supervisory body, Revision Commission of the Association “RNC of the WPC” is to check the accuracy and deadlines of work, the legality of the financial and economic activities of the Association. The three-member Revision Commission is elected by the General Meeting of Members of the Association for a four-year term with a possibility of re-election for three terms.
