The Programme Committee provides scientific and analytical support for the activities of the WPC Energy RNC to promote Russian interests in the formation of the programmes of the World Petroleum Congress and other WPC Energy events, as well as to ensure broad and effective participation of oil, gas and other Russian fuel and energy sector specialists in the relevant events.
The Committee is composed of scientists and experts recommended by the WPC Energy RNC member organizations, as well as representatives of other Russian specialized organizations, experts, and professionals who have expressed their willingness to work for the committee. The committee also includes the leaders of the Public sections and the WPC Energy RNC Youth Committee.
The Committee is normally renewed every three years. The cycle ends when the next World Petroleum Congress is held. Committee members who are actively involved can be re-elected an unlimited number of times.
Programme Committee is currently chaired by Alexander Nekipelov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Dr. Alexey Gromov is the official representative of Russia in the WPC Energy Programme Committee.
