Registration for the participation in the Future Leaders Forum of the World Petroleum Council is open.
The Russian National Committee of the World Petroleum Council announced the start of the grace period for registration of participants in the 6th Future Leaders Forum of the World Petroleum Council. The reduced registration fee rate will be valid until April 23 inclusively. The grace period will end two months before the Forum's Opening.

"The opening of the registration is a principally new stage in the preparation for the Forum," explains Vlada Streletskaya, Director of the RNC of WPC. - We expect that hundreds of active and motivated young people from dozens of countries, who are preparing to manage the development of the oil and gas industry in the future, will come to us. We are also interested in having as many delegates from Russia as the Forum's participants as possible. After all, this is a great opportunity to enrich the knowledge and broaden the circle of professional communication."
The Future Leaders Forum is held on the initiative of the World Petroleum Council on a rotating basis in different countries of the world every three years. This is the most popular and prestigious international platform for professional communication of the industry’s young specialists around each other and with key managers and experts of the global petroleum industry.

The next such meeting will be held in St. Petersburg. According to the WPC, Russia has taken a very responsible approach to the preparation of the Youth Forum. The Organising Committee, created by the Government Executive Order of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, was chaired by the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak. Representatives of a number of Federal Ministries and Departments, the Administration of the city of St. Petersburg, major oil companies, as well as heads of industry research and educational centers, public associations are involved in the work of the Organising Committee.

The organisers are preparing a large and diverse Technical Programme. The most important issues for the industry that determine the pace and vector of long-term development are brought up for discussion. All sessions will be united by one topic, which is the main one for the Forum participants: "Energy Transformation: Map of the Future".

For the first time, the speakers of the Youth Technical Programme will be selected based on the results of an open competition. Any young professional under the age of 35 years old can submit a paper summarising the results of the author's own research for the competition before February 20. The winners will be given the opportunity to make presentations at the Forum. According to the decision of the Organising Committee, young speakers, who passed the competitive selection, will be exempt from paying the registration fee.

The 6th Future Leaders Forum of the World Petroleum Council will be held in St. Petersburg on June 23--28, 2019. The main events of the Technical Programme will be arranged on the premises of St. Petersburg Mining University, the oldest training center of engineers in Russia.
