Tor Fjaeran will open RNC WPC Conference

First session of the international conference “Oil and Gas Industry Contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals” will be dedicated to the discussion of a sustainable development trajectory for the oil and gas industry.


Strategic approaches to sustainable development will be discussed by authoritative oil and gas industry experts, academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexey Kontorovich and Anatoly Dmitrievsky. Rector of Saint Petersburg Mining University Vladimir Litvinenko, Coordinator of Environmental Matters Unit (OPEC) Mohammad Ali Zarie Zare, Executive Vice President, reporting to the CEO of ENGIE, President of the EUROGAS Association Didier Holleaux will also take part in the discussion.


Tor Fjaeran, President of the World Petroleum Council will open the conference.


Session “Oil & Gas: sustainable development trajectories” will be moderated by Kirill Molodtsov, Chairman of the Editorial Board of the National Industry Journal “Oil & Gas Vertical”.


The conference “Oil and Gas Industry Contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals” is organised by RNC of the WPC and will take place on 6th October at the venue of the 10th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (5-8 October, Expoforum, Saint Petersburg).
