Nadezhnaya Smena Foundation was established in 2007 in Ekaterinburg. It is a developer and operator of educational projects for schoolchildren, students and employees of companies in the fuel and energy and mineral resources sectors. The Foundation cooperates with leading specialized universities and major companies in the sector, including Gazprom, Rosgeologiya, Rosneft, RussNeft, SIBUR and Tatneft. The Foundation's projects are supported by the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources, Rosmolodezh, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, other federal authorities, and administrations of Russian regions.

The biggest educational project of the Nadezhnaya Smena Foundation is the CASE-IN International Engineering Championship. In addition to students from Russian technical universities, representatives from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Mongolia participate in it. On the basis of this project, the League of Working Specialties was established for the students of the technical school. Under the auspices of the Global Energy Association there is a nationwide competition programme called Energy Start, which allows school students to learn about professions in demand in the fuel and energy sector and to engage in scientific and technical creativity.
