Department of Subsurface Management & Natural Resources of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra is the executive body of the Autonomous Okrug responsible for implementing unified state policy and legal regulation, managing state property, and providing government services in the spheres of geological exploration, subsoil use and conservation, modernization of the oil and gas sector, sustainable use of hydrocarbon resources, forestry and water management, protection and reproduction of wildlife and their habitats, as well as the establishment and management of specially protected natural areas of regional significance.
