From “Oil and Gas Horizons” to the Future Leaders Forum
The 10th International Youth Scientific and Practical Congress “Oil and Gas Horizons” has finished in Moscow. For the first time, the Russian National Committee of the World Petroleum Council has become a partner of this huge and prestigious event organized by Gubkin University SPE Student Chapter.

About 80 of undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students from 29 universities of 17 countries took part in the jubilee “Oil and Gas Horizons” Congress. The presented papers covered a wide range of issues connected with innovative development of the O&G industry.

“Participation in the preparation and arrangement of the Congress has become for us one of the most significant stages on the way to the 6th Future Leaders Forum of the World Petroleum Council,” Vlada Streletskaya says, the director of the Russian National Committee of the World Petroleum Council.

“As the organizer of this large-scale international youth forum, which will be held in St. Petersburg in June 2019, RNC WPC takes all available opportunities to engage initiative and creative young O&G industry professionals into the Future Leaders Forum’s orbit. In this respect, “Oil and Gas Horizons” is an excellent, traditionally attractive platform for young people from many countries across the world, who are interested in the development of the O&G industry,” Ms Streletskaya continues.

RNC WPC presented the 6th Future Leaders Forum for the participants and guests of the 10th International Youth Scientific and Practical Congress “Oil and Gas Horizons”. The representatives of the Organizing Committee told about the opportunities of participation in the Forum, about Forum’s technical and cultural programmes and answered the questions from students.

One of the key events of the “Oil and Gas Horizons” Jubilee Youth Congress was the Career Pathways Fair. A significant contribution to the preparation of this event was made by the Russian National Committee of WPC. The representatives of a number of reputable O&G companies, including Halliburton, Schlumberger, Exxon Neftegaz Limited and Ingenix Group, met with future petroleum specialists.

Scholars from Gubkin University and Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen (Germany) also expressed their interest in the event. Experts told about the cutting-edge technologies and the features of field experience. Students had the opportunity to get answers to their questions in the course of networking.

The next “Oil and Gas Horizons” Congress will be organized in the autumn of the coming year. But many of its participants will meet earlier – at the 6th Future Leaders Forum of the World Petroleum Congress, which will be held on June 23-28, 2019 in St. Petersburg.
