Сlasses at the “EnerGenious” Winter School organised by the Russian National Committee of the World Petroleum Council began in Nizhnevartovsk. The 5-day educational programme is attended by 85 high school and university students from St. Petersburg and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra, including winners of school and university Olympiads, authors of innovative projects and outstanding students.

The Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra Natalia Komarova, Advisor to Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Kirill Molodtsov, Senior Vice-President of the World Petroleum Council Anatoly Zolotukhin, Chairman of the Russian National Committee of the WPC Valery Yazev, Director of the RNC of the WPC Vlada Streletskaya took part in the opening ceremony of the winter school. Vladimir Knyaginin, Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg, addressed the audience via videoconference.

"I am sure, the school will open for you new horizons of scientific search, the knowledge gained here will help in professional self-determination and development of already received competences", – Natalia Komarova has underlined addressing to participants of the Winter School. "Believe in yourself. Move forward!", – the head of the region congratulated the students.

"This is a unique opportunity to choose a profession and form knowledge for the future. If you manage to accumulate the acquired knowledge, you will be valuable specialists in demand. I welcome the opening of the school," said Kirill Molodtsov.

The Winter School “EnerGenious” is an intensive introductory course for schoolchildren of 9-11 grade and students, allowing the participants to get not only theoretical knowledge about the oil and gas industry, but also to get acquainted with the organisation of production processes in practice. Authoritative specialists of the oil and gas industry from different countries of the world are invited to give lectures at the Winter School "EnerGenious". The programme includes technical tours to production facilities, meetings with reputable industry representatives, veterans. The programme will end on February 21.
