Youth session at RNC WPC Conference

Youth session is included in the programme of the conference “Oil and Gas Industry Contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals”. Participants – authoritative specialists of oil and gas industry and young generation representatives, will discuss the specifics of personnel training and development for the energy sector of the future. The participants will exchange views on concrete steps to ensure intergenerational continuity.


Session “Industry attractiveness in a changing world: a dialogue between generations” will be moderated by Grigory Krivilev, Coordinator of the RNC WPC Mentoring Programme and Elena Strakhova, Chief Specialist at Gazprom International.


Session will be opened by Anatoly Zolotukhin, Senior Vice President of the World Petroleum Council who will tell about the role of oil and gas in the energy mix of the future. Kirill Molodtsov, Chairman of the Editorial Board of the National Industry Journal “Oil & Gas Vertical” will speak about social responsibility and interaction with authorities.


Michael Kollins, Chief Executive Officer of Salym Petroleum Development N.V. will share his view on oil professional of the future. Ravil Ibatullin, Fellow of Tatarstan Academy of Science, Director of TAL Oil Ltd. will tell about oil and gas industry competencies for alternative energy development.


Yuri Pikhtovnikov, Head of Department for Organizational Development and Career Management at LUKOIL will share Company’s experience on training personnel for the fuel and energy sector. This topic will be continued by Artur Gataullin, Gazprom Global Account Director at Schlumberger with the presentation “Schlumberger experience in recruiting Generation Z”. Ilya Dementyev, Rector of Gazprom Neft Corporate University will also take part in the discussion.


The conference “Oil and Gas Industry Contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals” is organised by RNC of the WPC and will take place on 6th October at the venue of the 10th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (5-8 October, Expoforum, Saint Petersburg).
