During the meeting Vlada Streletskaya shared her practical experience of organising and conducting the Youth Forum in St Petersburg in 2019 and also offered cooperation in the preparation of the Forum in Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan's bid to host the 2022 Youth Forum was decided positively at the World Petroleum Council meeting in Houston on 5 December. The event is less than a year away. In this respect it is especially important for Kazakhstani colleagues to get more information from the organisers of the previous Youth Forum. Moreover, the Future Leaders Forum held in 2019 by the Russian National Committee of the WPC was recognised as the best youth event in the history of the World Petroleum Council

Representatives of Kazakhstan took an active part in the 6th WPC Youth Forum. It was then that the foundations were laid for youth cooperation between the WPC National Committees of Russia and Kazakhstan.

The WPC Youth Forums are held every three years in one of the member countries of the World Petroleum Council. This is the industry's largest international platform for professional communication between young professionals and students of specialized universities. Participants of the Future Leaders Forum in St. Petersburg were about 1,100 representatives of the oil and gas industry from 62 countries of the world – young professionals, as well as industry managers, experts and scientists.
